It is with great sadness that the Branch lost another long serving and dedicated member recently. John Cooper passed away in hospital in the last week of November following an illness that had beset him for most of the year. John was an active Branch member and always did his best to get to meetings and events. He was a proud Coldstreamer and well known within the regimental family and amongst his former colleagues in the police. He was a true gentleman with a ready wit and warm smile, and was always the first to take new Branch members uunder his wing. He will be sadly missed by everyone at the York Branch and we would like to extend our deep condolences to his framily and friends.
